Dove Equipment was founded in 1967, incorporated in 1969, and, like many other businesses in the Peoria area, started out primarily as a supplier to Caterpillar. The founder Vern Winemiller sold the company in 1980 to Barker-Rockford Company. In 2000, all the outstanding stock of both Barker and Dove was purchased by the joint Employee Stock Ownership Program, making both companies 100% employee owned. This has resulted in a major factor in Dove's success, being 100% committed to 100% customer satisfaction.

When Dove was started, lubrication systems and repair parts were the heart of the business. Over the years, the needs of their customers have evolved, so that today, equipment related to industrial painting operations is the largest single product group they sell, although the pumping and dispensing or applying of sealants, adhesives, and lubricants are important areas as well.

Dove has grown in its number of locations. It now serves Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, and serves nearly all of Mexico, with offices in Monterrey (headquarters of Dove Mexico) and Puebla (which serves Mexico City).

Dove has developed a complete in-house systems engineering capability, which has designed and installed systems around the globe, many with leading-edge or breakthrough technology in areas such as coating of automotive or consumer plastic components, or feeding the output of 14 concurrently operating assembly lines through a single cleaning, robotic waterborne paint coating, and curing station.

Dove's goal today is to remain, for their customers, the first and most profitable resource for any fluid handling need. Challenge them with your problem.
